This portable security is possible through the 2.4 GHz system that includes a high-resolution camera with a built-in microphone and a 2.5-inch colour TFT-LCD screen monitor. This system also includes a built-in DVR with the functions to set recording to manual, motion detection or schedule recording times. The use of memory cards allows for recording storage and portability (a 128MB CF card holds up to 60 minutes). The system also includes video overlay recording date and time. Search and play recorded video at your convenience or when necessary.

The GX5400 can see what is happening in the light but also in near total darkness through SVAT NITEVU technology. The eight infrared (IR) LEDs light up the darkness to see up to fifteen feet away. The portability of the monitor allows you to keep a watch at all times. The built in speaker, audio and motion detection capabilities make sure you do not miss a sight or sound.

The GX5400 camera is wall mountable. The monitor allows you to plug the camera into any AC outlet or run on AA batteries (not included).
